Risk Assessments

The primary goal of a risk assessment is to ensure the health and safety of staff, volunteers, clients and others who may be affected by the client visit.

Employers have a legal duty to conduct risk assessments and take reasonable steps to manage risks, as outlined by the Health and Safety Executive

The HSE recommends a structured approach to risk assessment, which involves the following steps:
  1. Identify the hazards: Determine what could cause harm in the workplace.
  2. Decide who might be harmed and how: Consider who could be exposed to the identified hazards and how they might be harmed.
  3. Evaluate the risks and decide on precautions: Assess the likelihood and severity of harm, and decide on appropriate control measures.
  4. Record your findings and implement them: Document the risk assessment, control measures, and any necessary actions.
  5. Review your risk assessment and update if necessary: Regularly review the risk assessment to ensure it remains relevant and effective.

About Us

CADS stands for Community Advocate Data System and is aimed at organisations that need to move their client data online and make sure that data is safe and GDPR complient.

CADS is produced by Blade Education who are a not for profit company limited by guarentee who have worked on commuity projects in SE Essex since 2007.

What Can You Expect

CADS presents to the user as a no nonsense clean interface that allows organisations to input their client details and data using the information available at the time, and updatable when more is known or shared with them.

CADS lets users record each interaction they have with a client to build up a log of the work carried out with each client so that you can simply look back at the client record as see the actions that have been completed and those that need actioning.

CADS allows organisations to stay GDPR complient by providing an Easy Read Template for GDPR agreement for their clients that has been produced with the Learning Disability community in order to be understandable by the largest number of people.

CADS can only be accessed by registered users and uses 2 factor authentication to secure logins where usernames and passwords are not enough in the digital world we are now faced with.
